Inside Line Promotions – STILLWATER, Okla. (June 6, 2017) – Zane Hendricks will do double duty this Saturday at I-44 Riverside Speedway, where he will pilot both a midget and a micro sprint on the same night for the first time in his career.

“It’ll definitely help because that’s where I started racing,” he said. “I raced there a lot. I know the track pretty well and the patterns of how it wears, where it gets slick and where it gets tacky. There’s definitely some stiff competition there.”

Hendricks enters the night battling for a top 10 in the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series championship standings.

“The goal for the midget is to get as many points as possible,” he said. “Hopefully at least a top-five finish.”

Hendricks is coming off an eighth-place result with the series at Airport Raceway in Garden City, Kan., a couple of weeks ago.

“It definitely gives us more confidence for this coming week,” he said. “Plus the tracks are similar so I think we have something to build on.”

Saturday will mark the second micro sprint race of the season for Hendricks.

“In the micro we’re just going to have some fun,” he said. “We don’t have a lot of expectations.”
