Inside Line Promotions – STILLWATER, Okla. (June 28, 2017) – Zane Hendricks will make his midget debut at a pair of tracks this weekend during a POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget Series doubleheader.
Hendricks, who ranks eighth in the championship standings, will compete on Friday at RPM Speedway in Crandall, Texas, and on Saturday at Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas.
“I’m shooting for top fives and to get as many points as possible,” he said. “We’ve been really fast in the heat races this season, but haven’t been finishing them. That puts us in the back of the B Main and it’s hard to do a lot in the back of the B Main. We need to set ourselves up better.”
Hendricks said the team recently went through the race car and added new wiring.
“We’ve been slowed by some issues this year so hopefully that is all lined out,” he said. “We can’t afford to be having DNFs and we need to start stringing together consistent finishes.”
Hendricks will also compete in a non-wing micro sprint this Saturday at Superbowl Speedway.
